The Fuzzy Review is back. After a great Q&A with author Laurie Gwen Shapiro earlier this year, we’re welcoming poet and musician Lee Bains to the shop to celebrate his debut poetry collection Work Lunch, which comes out Oct. 13th. In these poems, Bains, an Alabama native, puts Southern foodways under the microscope — and in doing so, examines the complexities of Southern life, labor and struggle.
Wilmington-based author and critic John Jeremiah Sullivan will be moderating an author Q&A. Bains will also be performing some original music that night. We’ll announce our opening musicians as the event date approaches. But for now, get your tickets — $15 advance, $20 at the door. BYOB.
